About Interpol

A red notice is a demand by the requesting member national on all Interpol members to arrest a person wanted for prosecution or to serve a previously imposed sentence. These notices are issued by the Interpol’s General Secretariat at the request of a member nation, and are usually published on the Interpol’s website.

Interpol Diffusions
Diffusions are a less formal alert mechanism than Red Notices, but can serve a similar function as Red Notice. These are issued by the requesting member nation and can be selectively distributed to specific member nations.
